Depending on what you wish, it might be possible using some CSS in portal.css.
What do you want? wider? narrower?

The easiest way to do this might be to creat a new theme as a copy of the default theme.  Then change the CSS file index.css to set a more narrow overall width of the content area. Then use the simpleportal settings to use this theme to the portal page.

If you need something more complicated, I am sure we can come up with a more complicated solution.

Ok. So let us keep this simple and give it a try.

I assume you are not talking about http://boomboxmania.com/index.php
That site appears to be running in integration mode.

Can you give me a link so I can understand better?

Your step 1 is to create a new theme as a copy of an existing theme.
You will use admin>themes and layouts in "install a new Theme"
If you are using the default theme in your forum, then use "create a copy of default"
If you are using a different theme, then use FTP to create a copy of that theme directory, then use "From a directory on the server".
