Blocks speak! Do you have an interest in getting more blocks - or even making your own? The Blocks Board is for you!

Some SimplePortal blocks not loading

On the site http://artistgrid.com SimplePortal 2.3.3 is not loading all the blocks and the ones that it does load are all in one column instead of three.  The blocks configuration is fully enabled.  When I first noticed the problem it was evident in ie8 but Firefox displayed properly.  (See screen shots attached.)  Before I posted in Support I upgraded from 2.3.1 to 2.3.3 and then when I went back to check how the site displayed in Firefox it seems to have developed the same problem!  I am running 1.1.12.

Thanks!

You seem to have some fairly severe HTML problem going on.
When I check the html validator, I see that <embed src="...."> is not allowed with document type XHTML 1.0 Transitional

This may be where the problem starts -- and some browsers may be stricter about this than others.

Have you tried the SimplePortal documentation?

Thanks AngelinaBelle.  I picked up the  html validator for Firefox which found in excess of 100 html errors.  After running its html cleanup the problem in ie8 remained the same.  (I did not upload the cleaned up page as I wasn't sure what to call the file - I ran a browser test using an index file I created on my desktop using the cleaned up html).  Thanks again for your help.  Any additional thoughts are most welcome!

I will be happy to look at your forum after you fix the HTML errors
