Topic: Article Import Does not work

I have smf 2.02 and simple portal 2.3.4.


I have a database error trying to import Artcles. I do have the smf article version 1.4 and is says it does not find the table.

here is it.   Only thing I can see is the {$tp_prefix}. Any suggestions on how to fix?

I took a look and not sure what to do. Not that I am expert here.
the tables to recognize are     smf_articles    to insert into    smf_sp_articles

Hi Majik,

I understand that you want to use SMF articles with Simple Portal.
I am sure there are several ways you could approach this, but I do suspect that importing them directly into the sp_articles table is not going to work, because the SMF articles mod handles articles in a very different way from how Simple Portal does.


First -- you should make sure to uninstall tiny portal before you install Simple Portal.

Second, I think you should look into the SMF articles block for Simple Portal.  Please find out if this works for you.

If it turns out that you need to do something much more complicated, we can talk about that, too. But I'd like to start with the simple stuff.  It's easier!
