Using FreeHostingCloud.com and Dreamweaver
« on: October 22, 2010, 10:12:30 PM »
I'm brand new to this useful little portal and would love the chance to use this for my site. I use FireFTP (Mozilla Add-On) for uploading my files onto my server. I was curious to know if anyone had any experience with FreeHostingCloud.com as they are my server. Please, any advice would be appreciated.

Also, I use Dreamweaver CS5 for editing my websites, can I use it to modify the sourcecodes for this as well?

You may find a review of your host at http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=4.0

The best way to find out if you like what Dreamweaver can do for your SMF CSS files would be to test it out.  Set up a test instance of your forum, create a new theme (perhaps as a copy of default), and work with the css files for the new theme.  Check the results as you go. You can always "reset" with a fresh copy of SMF's standard CSS files.

As long as you are not editing the php files, your efforts cannot "break" the forum -- only change the appearance.  Sometimes in very unexpected ways.
