Need Help
« on: November 21, 2010, 08:55:15 AM »
I know, I know, I am not supposed to ask how to install SP but rather ask questions if I have problems with it. But I mean, if nobody is allowed to ask how to install it, how will a noob like me ever be able to do it? I can't find a step by step tut anywhere on how to do it. And the site claims it has a tut but it doesn't tell me anything.

So if anybody could PLEASE tell me how to do so, thank you. I just want a nifty home page for my site, and after all, if one of you guys can make a tut it might become something helpful for future members.

Link to "tut": http://simpleportal.net/index.php?action=docs;area=installing_simple_portal

Site I want to add SP to: www.rezon.co.uk

The entire purpose of this board is to help people who are having issues with installation/upgrading, so you can definitely seek help on such matters here.

The doc page that you linked provides all the relevant information for installing SimplePortal, you need to have SMF installed first (google it if you don't what SMF is, it has its own installation documentation), then upload/install SimplePortal via the SMF package manager. Its a simple process, if you have SMF installed already.
