Custom php block for aeva gallery
« on: July 28, 2011, 07:18:16 AM »
Hello!
I tried to create custom php block which shows pictures from chosen aeva albums and have direct link to album items instead of highslider.

I used this code:

Code: [Select]
global $sourcedir, $galurl;

require_once($sourcedir . '/Aeva-Subs.php');

$items = aeva_getMediaItems(0, 5, 'm.id_media DESC', true, array(1, 2, 3));

foreach ($items as $item)
echo'

<center>', $item['title'], '<center><a href="', $galurl, 'sa=item;id=', $item['id'], '"><img src="', $galurl, 'sa=media;id=', $item['id'], ';thumb" alt="" /></a></center><br /><center>';

It is working, but I would like to change direction from vertical to horizontal and do not know how to do that?

If you put this block in the left or right side bar, it will probably be vertical.
If you put it in the top or bottom block list, it will probably look horizontal.

I see it now -- it is right there in your HTML.
Between each item, you put a </br>.

When testing, it helps to look at the HTML after you create a page.

I see that, now, thanks, but when I remove it from code, pictures are still in vertical order ?

The <center> tags around each item are also causing you a problem.
Just try playing around with the HTML.
You might like to work with a nice HTML tutorial, too. like the one at w3schools.com, for example.

OK, I tried to do this:

Code: [Select]
global $sourcedir, $galurl;

require_once($sourcedir . '/Aeva-Subs.php');

$items = aeva_getMediaItems(0, 100, 'm.id_media DESC', true, array(1, 2, 3));

foreach ($items as $item)
echo'

<table align="left" cellspacing="1px" cellpadding="0";>

<tr><td><center>

',$item['title'], '

</center></td></tr>

<tr><td><center>

<a href="', $galurl, 'sa=item;id=', $item['id'], '  "><img src="', $galurl, 'sa=media;id=', $item['id'], ';thumb" alt="" /></a></center>

</td></tr></table>' ;

Now pictures are in horizontal order, but it is not so tidy as I hoped it to be, and only first row starts from left to right, after that they are starting from right to left ...

I also find this code:

Code: [Select]
global $sourcedir;
loadLanguage('Aeva');
@include_once($sourcedir . '/Aeva-Subs.php');
echo preg_replace('~<div class="highslide-maincontent">.*?</div>.*?</div>~', '',
           aeva_listItems(
                  aeva_getMediaItems(0, 5, 'RAND()', true, array(1,2,3)
            ), false, '', 5));

Is it possible to change it so that pictures links to their albums instead to higslider?
How can that be done?

There is plenty you can do.  I learned a lot by reading through Nao's code.
You might see some more examples in http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=6520.msg37633#msg37633, in the attached file
Enjoy!
