How do I insert a smf post into a Simple Portal page?

I want to be able to use the url or some simle bb code instead of copy and pasting the text.

I expect this is simple but I just can't see how to pull this off right now.

Thanks

Hello:

I'm new at this. I want to show a single post in a article
I found this code -

<?php ssi_fetchPosts($postIDs, $isOverride); ?>

but don't know how to make it work. If this is right could someone give me a full example of how to use it?

Thanks

The easiest way is to use ssi_fetchPosts (found in SSI.php).
You can either use in 'echo' mode, or use it in 'array' mode so you can control which information is displayed and how.

You can see an example of how ssi_fetchPosts could be used here: http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=6520.msg37633#msg37633

Have you tried the SimplePortal documentation?

the ssi_fetchPosts its only available with 2.0, the structure its:

ssi_fetchPosts($post_ids, $override_permissions = false, $output_method = 'echo')

where $post_ids is the ID of the post you want to show.

 $override_permissions = false or true, its used when you have a post, with certain permissions, for example to be able to see the post, its used to overrride those permissions.

$output_method = 'echo'  either echo or array,   a classic example on how to use it will like this:

Code: [Select]
<?php $post ssi_fetchPosts(84NULLNULL);
echo
$post[0]['body'], '<br />'?>

where 84 is the ID of the post you want to show

and  $post[0]['body']  will show only the body of the post. been 0 the first message of that post.

so, all you have to do its put that on a php block.
