SMF Media Gallery -Button
« on: June 12, 2009, 09:30:35 AM »
Hi everyone!

At first some general information: I'd like to use the themes "blue ace" and "foxy" on sp 2.2.2 and smf 1.1.9. I just integrated the forum buttons with the aid of this tutorial: 'General Custom Theme Tutorial for SMF 1.1.x' which worked very well, so thanks for that  ;)

Now I'd like to integrate an additional button for the SMG (v1.5.6) but I don't know how to do this. Can someone help me with that?

I attached the two index.template.php-files. The first is the blue ace-one and the second one is for the foxy theme. Just in case someone wants to put in the changes at once :P

Thanks in advance for your help :)

for blue ice:
search:
Code: [Select]
// the [member] list button
add before:

Code: [Select]
// [SMF Media Gallery]
if (allowedTo('mgallery_access'))
echo ' <li',$current_action == 'mgallery' ? ' id="active" : '',>
<a href="', $scripturl, '?action=mgallery">' , $txt['mgallery_gallery'] , '</a></li>;

for foxy:

search:
Code: [Select]
// the [member] list button
add before:

Code: [Select]
// [SMF Media Gallery]
if (allowedTo('mgallery_access'))
echo '<li' , $current_action == 'mgallery' ? ' class="chosen"' : '' , '><a href="', $scripturl, '?action=mgallery"><span>' , $txt['mgallery_gallery'] , '</span></a></li>';

Thank you for your quick reply! :)

There is something wrong with the "blue ace" code
Code: [Select]
// [SMF Media Gallery]
   if (allowedTo('mgallery_access'))
      echo ' <li',$current_action == 'mgallery' ? ' id="active" : '',>
               <a href="', $scripturl, '?action=mgallery">' , $txt['mgallery_gallery'] , '</a></li>;

But doesn't matter, I used this code
Code: [Select]
// [SMF Media Gallery]
   if (allowedTo('mgallery_access'))
      echo '<li' , $current_action == 'mgallery' ? ' class="chosen"' : '' , '><a href="', $scripturl, '?action=mgallery"><span>' , $txt['mgallery_gallery'] , '</span></a></li>';
and it worked for both themes  :D

Thank you sooo much  8)

Sorry, but another little question cropped up.... I just noticed, that there's no download-feature in sp ^^ So I installed 'Download System' by vbgamer45.

@130860: Could you write me some lines of code for a 'Downloads'-Button?

Thanks :)

in your themes index.template.php:

find:

Code: [Select]
$current_action = 'admin';
if (in_array($context['current_action'], array(

add after:

Code: [Select]
'downloads',
find:

// the [member] list button

add before:

Code: [Select]
// the [Downloads System] button
if ($context['allow_downloads_view'])
echo '<li' , $current_action == 'downloads' ? ' class="chosen"' : '' , '><a href="', $scripturl, '?action=downloads">' , $txt['downloads_menu']  , '</a></li>';

note that this has nothig to do with simpleportal code and/or support for it.

greetings!

Yes I know, but there's no one who gives official support on this. At least I couldn't find anyone to address to.

Just fyi: I added a <span>...</span> because the button looked really small. I don't know the effect of <span>, but nearly every other button had it, so I tried it ;)

Thank you again for your help!!!!  :D

yes ! I forgot to tell you that you needed a span tag in one of your themes, also, you have to modificate the class="chosen" for a  id="active" in one of them in order to current action css works

greetings !!!

and glad I can help :)
