I just installed Simple Portal on SMF 1.1.12 in Standalone mode with my main website listed in the Standalone URL.  A button called "Forum" is now the button for the main board menu and the "Home" button takes you to my main website.  I like that.  However, I can not get it to work in any theme other than the default one.  When I switch to a new theme, I lose the forum button and the home button takes you to the main board rather than my main website.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

you need to manually modify your theme's  index.template.php

if you have problems editing it, please attach it here.

I can probably handle editing the index.template.php.  Do you know what specifically I need to change?  And does it need to be changed for each new Theme I try?  As I said, the default theme works perfectly.  Is there something globally I can change in SMF so that other themes will run Simple Portal?

Thanks for your help.

To add more detail to my problem; Simple Portal only adds the "Forum" button to the menu on the default SMF theme.  Simple Portal does not add the "Forum" button in ANY other theme I have tried.

exactly, thats why you have to manually edit the index.template of your theme, please attach your theme's index.template

Okay.  Sorry, I'm new to Simple Portal and SMF.  Do I put the file from the theme I would like to try or from the default one that works?  Or both?

Thanks

attach the file from the theme you wish to use.
